Massimo Villari
Massimo Villari received the Laurea degree (bachelor's degree + masters) in 1999 in Electronic Engineering, University of Messina Italy and in 2003 he received his Ph.D. In 2002 he was in internship next Cisco Systems (EuroTC Lab, France) and he worked on the MPEG4IP and NEMO projects. In 2003/2004/2005 he was professor of the matters Computer Science, Lab of CS, Elaboration Systems and Database. In the same years he was an academic IT Security advisor of SeaSoft. In 2004 and 2005 he was in post-doctoral fellowship in Wireless Systems and Networking. Since 2006 to 2014 he was an Aggregate Professor of Object Oriented Programming and Database at University of Messina. Since 2010 is IEEE member. In 2011 was recognized as Fellow of IARIA Board for the scientific contribution in Cloud Computing Area. He is currently Associate Professor of Computer and System Security at University of Messina, Computer Science Master Degree. He has actively worked as IT Security and Distributed Systems Analyst and Architect in cloud computing and virtualization for the European Project “RESERVOIR”, “VISION Cloud” and “CloudWave”. He is currently the ICT Scientific Consultant for the European Project “frontierCities”; his role is the IT support for SMEs and StartUPs in using the FIWARE infrastructure.  In 2014 he was recognized by an independent assessment (IEEE Cloud Computing Transaction, Issue April 2014) for productivity in Cloud Computing Area as one of World-Wide scientific researcher, top 27 classification.
He is co-author of more of 120 scientific publications and patents in Cloud Computing (Cloud Federation), Distributed Systems, Wireless Network, Network Security, Cloud Security and Cloud and IoTs. He is General  Chair of ESOCC 2015.

Talk title: Speeding up FIWARE adoptions  - Some EU excellence examples
The talk is focused on the new European Cloud Infrastructure: FIWARE. In particular insights are provided from the experience of a FIWARE Accelerator  that is frontierCities, giving highlights on how FIWARE can be adopted in running EU projects like CloudWave and more.
