Cloudscape Brazil 2014
Organised under the umbrella of the EUBrazil Cloud Connect initiative, Cloudscape Brazil 2014 is the first edition focused on introducing the Cloudscape series in Brazil and more broadly in Latin America with the goal of sharing EU experiences and best practices, communicating the benefits of cloud computing for eScience and promoting the open standards message to research and business communities, as well as governments.
Cloud computing is an enabling technology to boost research, reducing the upfront investments for scientific users requiring intensive computing. Cloud computing is also enabling the set up of spin-offs for the innovation from results of research. This fact constitutes a major objective in the Brazilian and European economies.
This workshop aims at fostering the collaboration between European and Brazilian institutions to advance on the provisioning and usage of cloud resources and infrastructures to support scientific activities in both academy and industry. The workshop targets scientific success stories, use cases, innovative business models, federation schemas, etc. with joint interest for Brazilian and European centres.
Cloudscape Brazil 2014 is organized on 20th October 2014 at PUC-Tecgraf premises in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil
Cloudscape Brazil will comprise keynotes from international experts in research and cloud infrastructures, policies, end-user success stories, industry and research polices and panel discussions on selected topics.
