EU CloudScout - Navigate your SME to the Cloud

CloudScout
The European Cloud Scout is a novel interactive tool for Managers of SMEs in Europe that provides low-threshold information tailored to your legal, organisational and technical requirements for a successful use of cloud computing.
Launched by European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes, Cloud Scout is supported by National Trade Associations across Europe, Cloud Scout has an EU-wide vision. Country and language specific versions already available online and more will follow.
Cloud Scout focusses on security issues primarily for small and medium sized enterprises. In just 10 to 15 minutes this tool provides information about what needs to be considered in order to use cloud computing in a secure manner and about how you can even improve information security.

Patrice Chazerand, Director, DIGITALEUROPE

Patrice Chazerand is Director in charge of Digital Economy and Trade Groups at DIGITALEUROPE. Prior to joining DIGITALEUROPE, Patrice Chazerand was the Secretary-General of the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE), the trade body of PC and videogames publishers operating in Europe between 2002 and 2009. In this capacity he has established PEGI, the only pan-European system of harmonised rating of digital content dealing with various topics such as internet content, protection of minors, privacy, freedom of expression and intellectual property; competition law as applied to interactive and user-generated content; Net neutrality, etc. Patrice Chazerand spent the first fifteen years of his career with the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, seven of which were at the Embassy of France in Washington.
